When you’ve already had one great idea, it can be daunting trying to find another that tops it, like our mannequin challenge last year! But the team has pitched together to bring you our very own investments interpretation of the 12 Days of Christmas to raise money for our charity, Children with Cancer UK (CwCUK). If you can't wait to donate, visit our Justgiving page.
After raising over £6.4k for CwCUK last year which supported 8 new research projects* in the fight against children’s cancer, it would only be right for us to set ourselves a challenge every year. So here we are again!
It wouldn’t be a challenge if it isn’t challenging, but I’ve been told by quite a few people that I’ve really pushed the team out of their comfort zones this year. The result is therefore a real testament to the team’s attitude to accepting this year’s challenge!
Filmed in and around the office, with the help of some extra decorations and props from CwCUK, we bring Christmas cheer to our colleagues and passers-by with our (hopefully!) angelic singing and antics.
The team pitched in in many ways which makes me even more proud of the final result – 12 (Macro Matter) Days of Christmas!
If the geeky lyrics and actions made you laugh, or simply shake your head at the sheer ridiculousness of it all, please visit our Justgiving page to donate generously.
Your donation will help to fund more research to improve the diagnosis and treatment of children’s cancer, so these children have a chance to be children again.
For those curious as to how we got here, it started with the idea of doing a lip sync challenge following its popularity leading to a TV show Lip Sync Battle. Always one to aim high, I shared this clip of Emma Stone in my email. Suffice it to say the initial response was one of concern!
Once we realised a popular song wouldn’t work (cost challenges), we decided on a Christmas Carol instead which seemed to get everyone more excited. Before we knew it, we had, rewritten the lyrics**, sung it, improvised some actions, and filmed ourselves lip-syncing!
I’d like to thank the team for being so generous with their time to make this happen. Christmas is a time for giving and we hope you give generously and help us to beat our record last year!
From all of us at Macro Matters, we wish you a Merry Christmas!
